CHA COMPOSITE HORSEMANSHIP MANUAL
The Certified Horsemanship Association has one of the most comprehensive and well organized manuals out there. It’s really too bad that more people don’t know about this. It’s organized into four sections that will take you from novice through advanced riding. I’ve found this to be my go-to manual for 20 years. They keep it up to date so don’t worry that it’s all out of date material. The first manual all riders should have.
ANIMALS IN TRANSLATION
The world of horsemanship is filled with experts. They all have a different take. It’s good to read them all but I think that the most important part of all this natural horsemanship business is getting the horse’s perspective. Getting inside of the animals mind, learning how he thinks and why he does what he does. Temple Grandin provides a unique look into the mind of the animal. Another must for any animal lover.
